Proper, Cabrillo invites guests into a sculptural space by Kelly Wearstler where mornings unfold with ease and evenings flow into conversation. Start the day with pressed juices, locally roasted coffee, and seasonal breakfast favorites, or return later for craft cocktails in a design-rich atmosphere that feels both relaxed and refined.

Pop into the intimate Dahlia, our ground floor cocktail lounge, for after work drinks, a small celebration, or a cozy night out. Perfectly private, Dahlia is our tucked-away escape from the bustle of downtown, offering  classic cocktails alongside our ever-evolving list of boutique wines all curated by the Lucques Group.

Ben Medansky’s elegant mural isn’t the only artistry behind the bar. From morning until late, the lobby lounge serves a casual menu of eclectic snacks and bites to accompany crafted cocktails, an impressive collection of tequilas and mezcals, and natural wines.

Located on the 5th floor of the Austin Proper Hotel, La Piscina is a convivial poolside restaurant and bar serving Texas-inspired Mexican cuisine for dinner, with lunch and brunch to come soon. The vibrant, open space overlooks the downtown Austin bustle as groups convene over family-style platters, ceviches and table-top sizzling fajitas, with fresh seafood grilled over a wood fire and house-made tortillas from an open comal. The bar provides an accompanying selection of frozen margaritas, native Mexican spirits, small-batch tequila & mezcal as well as an assortment of outdoor-friendly snacks.

Detailed with golden hues, rich textures, a fully built-in bar, and hand-crafted vintage furnishings, our second floor lounge offers both incredible views and a sophisticated environment for sipping a classic spritz, listening to live music, and sharing French-inspired bites.

A sophisticated gathering point for dynamic Mid-Market, Villon is dressed in Kelly Wearstler’s award-winning, dramatic design influenced by pre-Modernist styles. Here, the hyper-seasonal menu reflects twists on S.F.’s culinary culture and bounty. In our art-filled lobby salon, don’t miss an original libation from BVHospitality’s “7×7” cocktail anthology, in homage to San Francisco’s seven-by-seven-mile area.
