At Austin Proper, dining is designed for the way you live—vibrant, nourishing, and never without a touch of indulgence. In partnership with MML Hospitality—the local team behind iconic favorites like Jeffrey’s and Clark’s Oyster Bar—our four distinct concepts bring fresh energy and thoughtful sourcing to every plate.

Across all menus, you’ll find nutrient-dense grains, plant-forward options, locally sourced produce, cold-pressed juices, no artificial dyes, and low-temp cooking methods that preserve flavor and vitality—designed to support how you want to feel, without ever compromising on taste.

The Peacock
Mediterranean Grill

The heart of Austin Proper’s culinary program, The Peacock draws inspiration from North Africa, Israel, Greece, and Lebanon. Seasonal mezze, wood-grilled meats, and vibrant vegetarian dishes come together in a space that feels as warm and textured as the food. Organic wines, light spirits, and cocktails with fresh herbs and citrus complete the experience

La Piscina

Elevated but unfussy, La Piscina brings fire-kissed Mexican fare to the rooftop, with a focus on fresh seafood, hand-pressed tortillas, and grilled-to-order family-style plates. Frozen margaritas and sustainable tequilas flow all day alongside produce-packed aguachiles and poolside snacks built for summer.

Goldie's Sunken Cocktail Bar

A jewel box of a bar tucked away in the heart of the hotel, Goldie’s is equal parts sultry and serene. With pink marble, copper finishes, and a rotating menu of boutique wines, garden cocktails, and low-ABV pours, it’s a retreat for elevated sipping and intimate conversation.

The Quill Room

Designed by Kelly Wearstler, The Quill Room is where Proper’s signature mix of style and substance meets Austin’s creative pulse. With views of the Butterfly Bridge, this second-floor lounge serves Texas-inspired small plates, carefully composed cocktails, and curated sounds—just far enough from the city’s buzz to feel like your own discovery.

Kappo Kappo

Kappo Kappo is a French Japanese Omakase in an intimate chef’s counter setting. Twin brothers Gohei and Haru Kishi prepare A5 wagyu and pristine seafood course by course, creating a dining experience that feels both refined and personal in a space designed by Kelly Wearstler—opening this fall in Austin Proper Hotel.
